It may be a crazy windy and rainy December day, but that won’t stop us going outside and checking out some of the local shops and vendors.
Located downtown Whitby at the corner of Mary St and Byron St, was Whitby’s Winter Wonderland. Offering free hot chocolate, which was perfect to warm you up on this windy day and photos with Santa. Their staff was absolutely amazing, and patient taking photos with Nala.
Their vendors were all covered under the awning, which kept it a bit warmer and out of the rain. Lots of wonderful vendors, from candles to woodworking, popcorn and mugs, and are completely dog friendly. Nala was getting lots of attention as we checked out the vendors.
Only a block or so away was the Downtown Whitby Christmas Market, located in front of the Whitby public library at Dundas and Henry Street. Here we found even more local vendors from local breweries to a yoga studio. They also had a selfie station, free hot chocolate, the Grinch and lots of seating in front of the stage.
Everyone was very friendly, I think my favorite holiday photo of Nala is with the Grinch! As always, Nala found a few friends (both the 2 and 4 legged ones) to greet while she was there.
