It has been a great start to the warm weather and the other evening we thought we would take the dogs for a walk into our little Village of Brooklin. As we walked, our tummies started to rumble and the word “patio” was popular amongst the conversation.
We arrived in town and found that Baldwin Bistro had their patio open, was ready for business and was dog friendly!
Located at 45 Baldwin St, Whitby, ON L1M 1A4, it has a store front right on the main street of Brooklin and the entrance to the patio right around the corner. Click here for their website.
It was a week night so only a couple people joined us outside. The patio was very large with lots of comfortable tables and chairs and umbrellas!
The menu is quite extensive and guarantee’s there is something for everyone! Their website boasts that there are no pre-cooked dishes in this restaurant because everything is produced from scratch. They want their guests to have the opportunity to enjoy their lives through food and wine.
The Poutine menu looked amazing and my daughter, Alexis, could not resist!
The staff were very accommodating of the dogs and eventually Maze and Nyx found their comfy spot under the table. Not only was this patio dog friendly, it was “dog welcoming”. We had brought water with us for the dogs but a water bowl was offered to the dogs with our water glasses when we arrived!
We had ordered a burger, nachos, lobster poutine and a quesadilla amongst us. The FOOD WAS EXCELLENT!
We will be back again as it is a stone’s throw away from our house. They also had a dessert menu but don’t forget that Tip Top Creamery is right next door and serves the delicious Kawartha Lakes ice cream!
We didn’t end up having ice cream that night – though we contemplated it! – we were all very full!
The combination of restaurant and dessert is a lovely evening out with the pups and should be on your list of things to do!
