Conservation – Beautiful Forest with 3.2 km Hiking Loop – Stephen’s Gulch, Bowmanville

Happy New Year! We decided that the best way to start the year was to go for a hike! We checked out Stephen’s Gulch in Bowmanville (360 Stephen Mills Road, Bowmanville). This spot on the map is part of the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority (CLOCA). It was so quiet and such a peaceful and wonderful walk.

Since this park is part of the CLOCA lands, parking has a fee ($6.00). If you like to hike these trails, then buying a yearly pass ($75.00) maybe of value to you. You will find the link here. And although we have had lots of warmer weather, the ice on the path was slippery so wearing your cleats was a definite must. These can be purchased anywhere, from Costco to Amazon and make your hike so much better.

The walk is all forest but the paths are wide and is about 3.2 km’s long. There are lots of creeks and bridges which adds a change to the scenery as you walk. Here are some pictures of us having fun the first day of 2023!
