The Owners
Pavel and Jenna are locals from Durham Region who have three dogs of their own. They have two rescues, Myles & Loki that are short haired pointers and Dolce, who is the cutest French Bulldog who sometimes hangs out at the Bone & Biscuit store.
While living in Port Perry, Pavel and Jenna traveled to South Whitby to a pet store ensure they were getting the right food for their dogs. Then one day, they noticed a new development was being promoted in the west side of Brooklin (North Whitby). A thought occurred – “wouldn’t that be a perfect location for a pet store!” and the idea was born. The couple looked at several different franchises to purchase. Ultimatley, they fell in love with the Bone & Biscuit Co. mission, values, and products. Shortly after call was made to find out if they had a franchise for sale.
It was fate.
No only did the Bone & Biscuit Co. have a franchise for sale, they had already secured store space in the EXACT location that Pavel and Jenna were looking at in the Brooklin Boroughs! They thought it was a great idea too! It was meant to be!
The Franchise
The Bone & Biscuit Co. is a Canadian pet store company that started in 2008. It has “maintained the highest standards and quality of natural foods, supplies, and accessories” throughout each of their stores. This mission aligned with Pavel’s and Jenna standards and goals for what they wanted to offer their community. The match was perfect. The store offers products for cats and dog and Pavel and Jenna wanted to be in tune with their cat clientelt too. Elsa, a Bengal cat became part of their family too.
Pavel was walked me through the store and showed me the products he loves. He was so proud that alot of the products are from local suppliers….something we love too- supporting local!

And Dexter is the model for all of the amazing products that DexyPaws offers! There are leashes, harness, bowls, bandannas, treats. There are also things for humans too. These include water bottles and bracelets; Dexypaws gives you practicality while looking good at the same time! The Bone & Biscuit Co. has all of their products for you to enjoy!
Every good pet store has a cookie station. Buying your pup a cookies on the spot is a must and the Bone & Biscuit’s spread does not disappoint! And of course, all locally made.
The pet store isles are full of all different wonderful products that area picked carefully by the Bone & Biscuit head office and also by Pavel and Jenna. Education regarding nutrition, the latest findings and the latest products are an integral part of what makes the Bone & Biscuit Co. franchise.
