Nothing is better than pumpkin time with the puppies. I love visiting farms with the dogs and seeing how they love the different animals you come across. Every year we go to Nature’s Bounty – even before we got the pups.
There are new processes this year. You are required to buy at least one bag for apple picking in order to access the grounds. You can do this online at their website. You pick a day and time and what type of apples you wish to pick. We were sad to see that the corn maze grounds are now a parking lot. We have lots of memories of the kids playing in that maze.
There is lots to enjoy at Nature’s Bounty. We decided on Gala and Blondee apples. They are so good. The dogs had fun with us. Nyx enjoyed a little snack on some apples on the ground and also enjoyed treating them like a ball.
Also on the grounds is a shop. They were selling Willowtree products (the best cookies and pie!) as well as homemade jams, and apple cider. We each had a lovely warm cider. In the same area you can choose a pumpkin from the the lot that has been set out or you can go to the pumpkin patch and pick your own.
There was also a complimentary apple and cheese pairing demonstration. Very inviting and delicious. It was a nice bonus treat.
The last and most favourite part is the farm animals. There are sheep on this farm and we of course, took the pups to meet and greet. Nyx in her usual craziness gave the sheep a big lick right up the side of the sheep’s face and surprisingly the sheep liked her back! So much fun!
Nature’s Bounty is a must to visit on your do on your autumn fun list with the pups!
